Guild Progression - Kara and the Gnome King
It has been a long time since our last update to the site on our progression. It has been several months since ZG/AQ20 was the limit of our abilities. But that has long since not been the case. We can take ZG or AQ20 with less than ten people in a matter of an hour or two.
The guild has moved on to bigger and better things. Ventures into Karazhan have become frequent - this past weekend we made it our furthest yet, killing Illhoof and the Chess Event. All in all, Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, the Opera Event, Curator, Illhoof, and the Chess event have all been crushed - and we look forward to continuing our journey deeper into this end-game raid. Heroics have also been a staple in much of our gametime. It is not uncommon for us to run 3-4 Heroics in one night, and usually have multiple runs going at the same time.
Perhaps our biggest accomplishments in the PvP realm is our Sacking of Darnassus a few months ago. Topped only by our murder of Gelbin Mekkatorque, the Gnome King, with a 25 man raid - half and half with our new PvP Allies, The Ancients.
The guild is progressing along quite nicely. Along with our various accomplishments, we continue to have a great deal of fun. Spending New Year's Eve drinking and ransacking every Alliance town on the map while listening to the utter stupidity on Teamspeak. We look forward to continuing our journey and tradition as we approach our one-year birthday.

No Raid Boss is Safe
Last night the Brewing Company ventured into the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj for the first time. We had prepared for a long run based on our experience a few weeks ago in Zul'Gurub... But we full cleared the dungeon in 3 hours. The only boss we had any problem with was Ossirian, on the third try we killed him fairly easily.
Because we finished so quickly - we decided to go back into Zul'Gurub. We full cleared the entire instance, but far too many people had gone to bed to kill Hakkar. So we set a time this morning, all woke up, went in, and got our revenge. The first attempt this morning we got him to 6050 health when we wiped. The second attempt we destroyed him without any players dying.
Simply amazing runs that tell the rest of the server that the Brewing Company has arrived. Other guilds power people up to 70 and run Karazhan and Gruul's. We get our 50's and 60's prepared for raiding from the beginning. AQ20 and ZG are learning experiences for us all to get acquainted with raiding and each other's playing styles. When we do get to Karazhan, it won't be a shock to any one, we've been raiding for months.

Zul'Gurub feels our Wrath
Tonight the guild participated in its first raid instance. All in all, 17 people participated ranging in level from 51-70.
The run took 8 hours and for a bunch of rookie raiders was overall incredibly successful. We downed every boss except Hakkar, who we could only get down to 3%. The notoriously difficult bosses such as the Tiger and Panther aspects, were taken down on the second try after seeing what happens and getting our bearings correct. Most of the time we made the bosses deaths look like we knew what we were doing. With a few more levels, the entirety of Zul'Gurub will be easily demolished.
A fantastic success and excellent test for the guild's readiness to take on higher level places. Gadgetzan Brewing has gone from a small group of 30's and 40's raiding Ally starting towns to a group that is able to run pure-guild instances. And we still somehow manage to keep our overall friendly atmosphere.

A Force to be Reckoned With...
Last Friday, the guild sacked our first town with level 65 guards - Lakeshire, Redridge Mountains. Not only did we destroy the town, but we held it for quite a long time, and even wiped it clean again on our way out. This is a milestone for our guild, signalling to us and the Alliance that no town is safe, regardless of the guard levels.
But that wasn't the end of it. After leaving Lakeshire, the guild moved into Elwynn Forest, and a small group of brave mounted guildies charged into the gates of Stormwind City. Ignoring all guards and players, we rode through the entire town and entered the Deeprun Tram. Once inside, one-by-one, we summoned the entirety of the guild inside. The number of skeletons and bodies on the floor when we finally left was uncountable.
We've killed every battlemaster, we've killed flight masters, town leaders, entire towns... We've taken the very heart of Allied transportation. What next?

Our Baby has Grown Up
Our little group has grown by leaps and bounds in the last three months. Our core group all started out as 30's and 40's and have now topped out at 70. It used to be that even on the busiest Friday night, we might have 5 or 6 people on - now on any given work day, we have 15 or more.
Our raids have become more successful and daring... and as a result longer and more fun. We've begun scheduled high-level dungeon runs, as was promised at the formation of the guild. It was said that this is the only guild that someone had been in that did what they promised, and here is the proof.
With this larger population, we can start being a little more picky about our membership. If you scroll down and see the very first news post, our core, original group was interested in one thing -- maturity. Now that our garden is flourishing, we will need to keep our eyes open, and if necessary, weed it. Our guild has ripened to the state that we can start being more choosy when it comes to recruiting, and even moreso about who can stay.
So for those old timers in the guild, our baby has grown up. Now it's time to make sure it stays the guild we want it to be.

Shipping Rights Secured for Northern Lordaeron
Although one of our smaller raids, we succeeded in sacking 4 towns tonight. Definitely one of our most fun raids to date. Refuge Pointe, Southshore, Hillsbrad, and Chillwind Camp were all forced to accept Gadgetzan Brewing Co. as their new leaders as of tonight.
The raid started out strong and kept it's momentum for a good 2-3 hours, sacking town after town. We can only hope that future raids end with this type of victory. The Gadgetzan Brewing Company is making a name for itself on the realm, let's try and maintain it.

Gadgetzan Ale Now Shipping from Auberdine!
We raided Auberdine tonight and sacked the town twice. With 14 raiders (13 Members and 1 Ambassador from Blood and Thunder) we swam to the town from the sea - dressed as Pirates and Ninjas. We came up on the beach Normandy-style and took over every building in the town, including the Inn and the Docks.
We held the town for almost an hour before the Alliance was able to gather up a suitable defense, at which point, we regrouped on a small island just off the shore. After about 10 minutes of joking around, we hit the town again and once again, claimed the Inn and Docks.
This was a more difficult town to take than Thelsamar because of the guards who seemed to spawn out of nowhere at random. At times, we were fighting over 12 sentinels, all level 40, and we still took them out. I'm very proud of the results of the raid, and hope that in another week or two, we'll be able to move up to bigger and better things.
Skolde!

Thelsamar, Property of Gadgetzan Brewing Co
>Our second raid on the Dwarven town of Thelsamar was a complete success. Although our first hit on the town itself was met with some resistance, we flanked the zone, hitting the digsite, dam, and the defense towers, and then struck the town again. We tried a new strategy from the last time we raided, electing to hit the town from the north instead. We were able to get into the Inn both times, the second time, completely securing the Inn long enough to take several guild pictures - which can be seen on the Raid Pictures page.
How many other guilds can you say have taken an entire town with only eight people?
The raid was a complete success, and we hope to schedule a new one soon where more people can participate at a higher level. We want to take the entire town and be able to roam building to building freely - and can only do so if everyone is on board.

Raid on Thelsamar
We raided Thelsamar and the Loch Modan area tonight. At our height we had 11 people participating, which slowly dwindled down to 5 as we were pillaging the area. It was a fairly good learning experience for us, having to raid in a different style rather than just running around as many other larger raids happen. Our next raid has not yet been scheduled, but an equally low level area will be picked, and hopefully more people participate.
Our raid started in Kargath, Badlands and went north to Thelsamar, Loch Modan. We hit the outskirts of the town and even made it to the Miner's building, the southeastern most building of the town. The alliance were a lot quicker in rallying a defense than expected, so we turned our efforts to the surrounding area. We killed every NPC around the Loch area and the Dam to the north. We sacked both the North Gate tower and the South Gate tower with ease. A few players were following us around and were killed just as quickly. We can only hope for more raids like this - or better - in the future. Pictures of the raid can be seen on the Raid pictures page.

Starting Fresh
This is your guild, and you joined at the perfect time to make sure it's what you want. Most of our members have come from other guilds that they were either tired of or disappointed in. Guilds requiring you to help low levels get higher, give up trade goods for guild purposes, or the complete opposite - never doing anything as a guild at all. A good number of us are simply tired of guild members behaving like children and being forced to listen to them in the guild chat. Well, this guild is different.
We plan on having planned guild instance runs - optional of course - where we can all get the quests we need done - or perhaps just some money, exp, and good drops. Guild raids will be a regular thing, once again, not required. We'll start with small cities and hopefully some day move up the ladder to larger ones.
Maturity is something we all want. People who act like idiots in the guild chat should expect not to be in the guild for long. We're a fun group who enjoys the game, we don't want people ruining that.
The website will be up completely soon, including the rules and procedures of the guild. It's every member's responsibility to be at least familiar with them.
